WEll winter is here, but not in El Paso! We are rolling around with T-Shirts and building trails and jumps like mad. We are blessed with the most awesome winter weather and El Paso is a gem of a hidden MTB destination. Check out some of the picks of the new stuff at the canyon...Scarry big!! haha.

New AMP .. SIKKNESS !!
I love my new bikes.. The AMP is RAD !! The geometry is spot on.. I am not the best rider by far, but the AMP will take me to the next level.. Go buy one !! The Scythe is a super bike too.. I love Banshee Bikes !!

12hr DH Redbull Burner !!
Well yall I started really well.. My Banshee scythe was awesome !! It ran flawless .. I made 18 runs in 7 1/2 hrs. and then my knuckles gave out.. I am a big wuss.. Rohan from Silver City NM took 3rd place in expert men solo.. Our other friend Steve H. didnt fare as well , he ended up breaking his ankle on his 11th run , ARGH !! After dark there were only about 12 riders or so.. This was a GREAT race and my scythe was awesome !! Cant wait till the RedBull Rampage next year !! They are doin the Rampage n Burner opposite years.. I will return to the burner for a redemption.. Keep an eye here for Roughrider updates.. peaceout Yo's !!

Yesturday we went out and took some pictures. Issac is stepping it up again with his new line. The lips are huge and the hangtime is awesome. The Wheel Connection dirt jump comp is coming up on Halloween and the whole park will be dialed. There will a crew out this entire month making sure the area is in tip top shape. Friday Jump session..
It was nice n cool out on friday so we hit the jump park.. It was good riding.. Seems like more n more people are coming out.. Every day ther are newb's.. Thats what its for.. There were about 15 people out.. I live 50 miles away, but make it over there whenever possible, still LOTS to do, its only starting !! We are going to build 50 more jumps and skinnies w/ some drops n stuff, keep an eye !! Thanx to Isacc , Zack , Charlie n tha crew for helping out ALOT !! And throwin down some rad jumping ! peace n Enjoy..

Banshee Amp 4x, DS, DJ build
Banshee Amp, new ride. James set me up with the frame, I ordered some new parts, moved some old parts over, and now it's finally built and tuned. I'll spare you the usual Amp comments (light, easy to manual, good tire clearance, etc..) and get to some stuff not often mentioned. What stands out most is the chainline. One drive side spacer for the XT bottom bracket and a set of the thicker spacers that came with the e-13 LG1+ chainguide and the chain is perfectly straight when centered in the cassette. This might not seem like a big deal, but it really makes the bike ride smooth and noiseless (because the chain isn't rubbing on either side of the chainguide) in every gear. The front chainring only clears the chainstay by about 1-2mm using a 36t, so it looks real clean/precise. Of course is you are running single speed like most, none of this matters :) Another subtle detail, running an 80mm fork actually drops the nose just slightly. In other words, with an 80mm fork the chainstays run a slight decline from the rear wheel to the bottom bracket which means a 100mm fork would be perfect but you could get away with 120-140mm fork without feeling like you were already doing a wheelie. Lastly, although generic, the seatclamp works as supposed to and looks clean and the internal headset is deffinetly a plus. Going to ride at the jumps/pump track now, laters.

Sikkness @ Signal Peak !!
It was awesome !! We came we rode we kiked it arse !! That is the best race trail ever !! We got 12 Dh'rs only , but next year will be better .. I got no pics yet.. The Silver City Roughriders represented !! Rohan took first place and Carjack took second , Dirty-J took 3rd.. Thanx too ALL that helped !! The bands were RAD !! Yall should check it yo's !! peace

My bikes.. Scythe n Scratch
Hello from Hell Paso.. Here is the new stead and older stead.. Sold my Banshee Scream (reluctant to do it ) but the new Scythe is RAD !! It rides soooo nice !! I have not figuered out the rear shox yet but the ride was a step up and a half from the scream.. They both have a VERY stiff pedaling !! The scythe is a bunch lighter , even w/ my heavy components. 
The scratch is a good bike as well.. Its made like an abrams tank !! You could run over a bear and win !! Its a great 24' bike !! I am super glad I have one.. They dont make'em anymore.. Soon to have my AMP built , so keep an eye here !! peace

There will be registration the day of the race beginning at 7:00 am and will close 30 minutes prior to start time. Start times are subject to change depending on enrollment and will be assigned and announced morning of race.
Course: Course is a 2 ¼ mile downhill trail in the Gila National Forest located at on the Signal Peak Mountain outside of Silver City, NM. There will be transportation for riders and there bikes to the top of the trail.
Directions: From Silver City, take HWY 180 to N. Pinos Altos Rd, which becomes NM 15 in approximately 2 miles. Take NM 15 for approximately 5 miles to arrive in Pinos Altos. Continue on NM 15 for approximately 15 miles to arrive at base of Signal Peak.

Freeride Euphoria !! 2009 Madness !!
Whatup all !! The buzz is on and dirt is flyin !! Its hard to believe , but its real dirt n mud !! El Paso has come through w/ some rad land for us to build and thats just what we are doin !! The trails will be officially opened on Aug. 29 n 30th .. It will be SIKK !!! The locals are still euphoric from this trail madness !! All the jumps b-4 have been plowed , not these !! They will be around for awhile !!

Pajarito Mayhem 2009 !!
The weather WAS AWESOME !! Yall missed out.. The grand opening weekend is June 6th-7th 2009 !! The trails are in great shape.. Thanx to Rich and the Bikeworks Albuquerque crew, the new race trail was the BEST racecourse, a few more jumps would be cool.. The Pajarito ski guys closed early both days , so we kinda got screwed , but it was a great time anyway.. The Santa Fe and Albuquerque guys throw a great time and great trails.. The Pit has a bunch of great jumps also.. We went on sunday after the race.. Yall need to get up there soon as possible !! We will be goin back during the summer to ride.. keep an eye on www.skipajarito.com for updates.. pics comin soon !!

Ruidoso Roughriding !!
It was a great time !! A bit of wind, but nothing like at Roughrider Canyon.. Thanks to everyone that showed up.. If it wasnt for us planning an event , then there would have been no rain and snow,lol.. Now that maybe gave us a month.. I hope it keeps on raining.. The crew was AWESOME , North new Mexico REPRESENTED ,and Ole Jared 'Spandy McDandy' Jumpin tha donkey punch. Sweet !!
